Serious of major canine diseases (skin infections)

Skin infections

Most dogs scratch their skin, but if this is repeated continuously, this could indicate the presence of inflammation in the skin.

Causes:

(1) One of the most prominent causes of dogs scratching their skin or their sensitivity is eating some types of foods that cause allergies, such as corn, wheat, or soybeans.

(2) The inflammation may happen due to a bacterial infection. It can cause what is known as hot spots that cause painful ulcers.

Treatment:

(1) This sensitivity can be treated by changing the dog’s diet, such as moving to a low-allergic food such as lamb meat, or visiting the vet when the change is not noticed.

(2) Use allergy shampoo or antibiotic ointment.
